Following the Great War, G Herbert Strutt commissioned a Roll of Honour, in the form of book, inscribed with the names of the men of Belper and Milford who fell in the conflict.
As a contribution to the acts of remembrance in the town, this book will be displayed in Belper Historical Society's "Robson Cabinet" in the east end of St John's Heritage Centre from 4th August, 2014. A fresh page of names, in alphabetical order, will be shown each month over the next four years.
The book can be seen when the Heritage Centre is normally open from 9;30am to 12 noon from Monday to Friday and on the last Saturday of the Month (except December).
